FanDuel, along with its parent company Flutter Entertainment (NYSE: FLUT) and its subsidiary Flutter International, has announced a generous donation of $250,000 to Americares and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. This contribution aims to support wildfire relief efforts in communities affected by the recent fires in the greater Los Angeles area. For nearly 25 years, Flutter and FanDuel have been proud members of the Los Angeles business community. FanDuel TV, originally branded as TVG, is the leading platform for horse racing wagering and television and is based in Culver City. FanDuel’s presence in the city dates back to 2014, with significant corporate, commercial, and product functions for its daily fantasy sports, online sportsbook, and iGaming platforms located there. The company employs nearly 400 people in Los Angeles, many of whom have been directly impacted by the wildfires.
“FanDuel and Flutter have been proud members of the Los Angeles business community for over two decades. We are heartbroken by the devastating loss these wildfires have created in a community we call home,” said Amy Howe, CEO of FanDuel. “We are committed to ensuring our employees are safe and making sure the community has the resources it needs to support the heroic efforts of our first responders.”
Contributing to Americares will enable the health-focused relief organization to tackle pressing health issues in the communities that need it most. The funding allocated to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation will provide essential equipment and support programs that save lives and safeguard local residents.
