Hannah Johnson, Life Enrichment Director with Avamere at Seaside, received the 2021 Enrichment of Life Award from the Oregon Health Care Association.
Johnson joined Avamere at Seaside in 2019 and volunteered there in 2015.
“I’m humbled and honored to be recognized for my leadership,” Johnson expressed. “I’m thankful to my dedicated staff – this award is a reflection of our efforts as a team in providing the quality care our seniors need and deserve.”
Johnson works in Avamere at Seaside’s Arbor, where memory residents reside. She enjoys making residents smile and organizing activities that help them connect with their families.
“It’s such an exciting part of this job when I am able to find activities that help our residents relate back to their loved ones,” she shared.
Executive Director Larry Gooldy II announced Johnson’s award during a team meeting, complete with refreshments and cake.
Gooldy nominated Johnson for this award for her work ethic.
“She makes an impact every day that she shows up,” Gooldy shared. “She gives 100% to her job, to her residents, and to making sure that they have a more enriched life. She also brings the same energy to her coworkers and everyone she encounters in the building.”
Johnson earned an OHCA award alongside two other Avamere employees:
- Sara Sutherland, Director of Education for Avamere Living Community-Based Care, Leader of the Year
- Troy Perry, Administrator with The Pearl at Kruse Way, Administrator of the Year
Their achievements exemplify one of Avamere’s core values: quality that is obvious.
Johnson, Sutherland, and Perry will be recognized at the Annual Convention on November 10, 2021, in Portland, Oregon.
