Agnieszka Aldona Artych, or popularly known as Agnes Artych, was born in Siedlce, Poland on January 11th, 1988. Agnes always had a passion for art and dancing. Her family, however, prioritized the need to have a formal education. The family had no interest in what they believed to be the superficial industry of modeling, femininity, and fashion in general. This would explain why her childhood, as well as her education, did not prepare her for her rise to fame and consequently her career in modeling.
After she graduated from high school, she studied simultaneously at two different universities, while working on a site as a dance teacher and getting classes at Kielce Dance Theater. Soon after Artych was offered a position in a corps de ballet in KTT. She has been part of quite a several dance festivals as well as workshops in Poland. Agnes got her first B. A from Jan Kochanowski University, a university-based in Kielce Poland, in German Language and Literature. Her second B. A was from the Kielce University of Arts and Science and was in the field of Dance. After completing both of her degrees, she moved to Gdansk, Poland. Over there, she got her post-graduate degree from the Gdansk Atheneum in Culture and Media Studies and landed herself a position at the Baltic Opera in a Baltic Dance Theater. Agnes has co-starred in various performances, such as Cinderella, Halka, Romeo and Juliet, Metamorphosis, Halka, The Rite of Spring, and La Traviata. In 2010, Bartosz Kondracki and Artych won from the Gdanski Festival Tanca a grant and produced a theatre show Ad Infinitum.
In 2010 Agnes got scouted by a model agent. She was among the finalists of Super Models – a popular reality show in Poland. Soon after she went to Istanbul in Turkey for her very first contract in modeling. Artych spent three months there while working for Bruce Bekrek, Perge Jewels amongst many other brands. In 2013, she became the face of Polish Fashion Week. The following year, she was on the cover of Hebe Magazine. She also won a competition of Bell Cosmetic Beauty that same year.
Agnes always dreamed big. When she visited a friend in New York, she instantly knew that NYC would be the best place to start her career in front of a camera. It took a lot of perseverance, tears as well as hard work as she stepped into the Art World. When she packed her suitcase to leave home for New York, she hardly had any money with her. She was determined to make a modeling career for herself. She visited almost all agencies that are based in New York. She also made a point to go for every open call she would come across on the internet. By the end of it all, she had several model contracts to choose from. She ended up signing with ADAM Models, which is currently known as STATE Management. Over the years, she has successfully managed to walk a total of 14 New York Fashion Weeks. She has also been part of countless campaigns, commercials as well as lookbooks. She did commercials for NBA, Pier 17, KFC, It Cosmetics, and Crown Royal.
Artych has also worked for several years with Marc Erwin Babej, who is a well-known German American photographer. Agnes has coproduced quite several his works such as Unser Afrika, Yesterday-Tomorrow, and Mischlinge. The works of Babej have been shown multiple times all over the world in different museums.
