While many Americans typically think of yoga as a set of stretching exercises, that view misses the real essence of the practice. Yoga, in ancient Sanskrit, literally means to yoke, unite, or connect, and people who give themselves over to a study of yoga know that it can open the door to a powerful mind-body connection.
Dr. Ari Beers is the founder of Anahata Conscious Living and has dedicated her life to helping people who suffer from anxiety, depression, and trauma. She believes that through yoga they can learn to heal themselves. Dr. Beers is board certified in integrative medicine, which means that she incorporates medical practices from the far east into her study of western medicine. Studying with some of the most well-respected living gurus, Dr. Beers is an expert in Kundalini, Tantric & Hatha Yoga as well as Shamanic breathwork. To this end, she has completed 12 years of international study, with a focus on yoga, meditation, and the Ayurvedic lifestyle. She has helped many people restore their health and balance their lifestyle.
Dr. Beers named her organization ‘Anahata Conscious Living’ after the Sanskrit word anahata, which means heart. The name came to her during an intense meditation session in a Hare Krishna temple in India, in which she realized that in order to heal, one must reach the center of one’s heart.
Anahata Conscious Living has developed into a comprehensive force for positivity and healing. Driven by Dr. Beer’s sincere desire to help others follow their heart, heal, she uses her knowledge to help people ‘upgrade their human software.’ Dr. Ari Beers’s track record speaks for itself. Not only are there hundreds of examples and personal anecdotes of how Dr. Beers has helped transform people’s lives, but Dr. Beers has also won the yoga influencer of the year award for three years in a row.
Anahata Conscious Living has expanded to offer international workshops where Dr. Beers will be giving ‘in-person’ training and retreats. As her movement expands, we are excited to see what the future holds for Dr. Beers and her team.
