Humanity First, USA, a humanitarian non-profit organization established to promote and safeguard human life and dignity in the United States and abroad, will today open a permanent food pantry in Duluth, GA., to serve the local community.
State Senator Nabila Islam and Fulton County Commissioner Khadijah Abdur Rahman are scheduled speakers at today’s inauguration event for the Humanity First Duluth Food Pantry. Additional presenters are the Chairman and Executive Director of Humanity First USA, Munum Naeem, and the co-Directors of the pantry, husband and wife team Muzaffar & Farah Quraishi. Other guests include Georgia State Senators, State Representatives, and Commissioners.
The Humanity First Duluth Food Pantry is set up under Humanity First USA’s Food Security program by a dedicated team of 10 volunteers.
“Humanity First volunteers will work every month to operate the Duluth food pantry,” said Chairman & Executive Director of Humanity First, USA, Munum Naeem. “We believe that good nutrition is a basic human right and communities can thrive when their basic needs are met.”
- The Humanity First Duluth Food Pantry is located at 3100 Breckinridge Blvd, Suite 740, Duluth, Georgia 30096-4985.
- The pantry will open every Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Families can pre-register with assigned pick-up times.
- The pantry will serve approximately 100 households each month, with plans to expand soon to serve 250 families.
During the pandemic, 403 volunteers donated 1,667 hours to Humanity First USA in Duluth, Georgia, to serve more than 25,000 individuals.
