Excel Village announced Macy’s donated $3,000 to support the organization’s mission to create leaders with winning futures. The donation will support Excel Village girls’ mentoring programs which include training mentors, developing & designing career and life-skills mentoring materials, and scholarships. Excel Village is currently partnering with schools throughout the United States including Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Rock Hill, South Carolina Schools, Detroit, Michigan Schools, and many others. Established in 2015, the organization is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students of all ages and remains committed to its partnership with local school districts.
“Our goal is to make the future bright by creating leaders with winning futures for girls in 5th-12th grades by providing a curriculum of career planning, life-skills development focused on science, technology, engineering, math, finance, arts and business (STEM-FAB),” said Dr. Lisa Lindsay Wicker, Founder and CEO. “We are fortunate to have Macy’s Corporate Giving as a strategic partner as we strive to enhance the lives of youth through mentoring, scholarship, and education.”
