With over 129 million subscribers, MrBeast is currently the world’s most subscribed YouTuber, and his philanthropy channel, created in September 2020, aims to use 100% of profits from ad revenue, merch sales, and sponsorships to make the world a better place.
Mace is a multiple award-winning film director, YouTuber, and the creator of The BRU Show for Warner Bros. Discovery. He is a well-known name in the South African film industry and has a strong following on YouTube. His latest endeavor is a collaboration with American YouTube sensation MrBeast, known for his elaborate stunts and giveaways in his videos.
South African Filmmaker Dan Mace takes on a new challenge as the Chief Creative Officer of Beast Philanthropy, and in his own words, it’s a “no-brainer” opportunity to work with one of the most successful YouTubers in the world, MrBeast, and make a positive impact on the world. The collaboration between Mace and MrBeast began when he approached Mace’s creative agency, JOE, to help produce one of their videos in South Africa at the end of 2022. The two hit it off immediately, and an offer was made for Mace to become the CCO of Beast Philanthropy.
According to Forbes, MrBeast earned $54 million in 2021, including $32 million from ads across his dozen-plus channels and $9 million from sponsored content. His earnings, already the highest of any social media creator, are set to double in 2023 to as much as $110 million.
In the latest video, the first produced by Mace for Beast Philanthropy, the channel announces and kicks off their plan to rebuild 12 homes for an orphanage in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, over the next six months.
