How does your anthology series, “Grit and Tenacity: Women Transforming Leadership in Business and Community?” aim to inspire and empower women with a drive to fulfill leadership positions?
This anthology will inspire and empower women by showcasing examples of the challenges and triumphs other women have experienced as they took on the journey into leadership positions. The book also allows women to start seeing themselves taking on these challenges.
What kind of research or preparation did you undertake to ensure the authenticity and relevance of the stories featured in your anthology?
The stories in this anthology are written by individuals who have experienced the journey. Each chapter is a standalone story of women transforming leadership in their own way. Each author was interviewed by me and coached around clarifying and sharing their experience in this book.
Were there any surprising or unexpected discoveries that you made while working on “Grit and Tenacity?”
The biggest eye-opener for me was how varied the approaches have been as each woman created her own way of taking on leadership and bringing value to her community.
What kind of impact do you hope your anthology will have on its readers, both women and men?
The impact we aim for with this anthology is to inspire and motivate women and men to take on the courage to create positive change in the world. We are supporting the reader to see that we don’t have to keep doing things as they have always been. We can create new models of leadership that support and amplify the skills of our teams and community.
Can you give us a sneak-peek into any future projects or endeavors related to women’s leadership that you may have in the pipeline?
I have an ongoing list of new projects coming up over the next year. At the moment, I am developing anthologies focused on women in STEM, midlife, grief, and widowhood and creating a ripple effect of impact.
