TRIMAX Power Systems has announced the appointment of Josh Rutledge as Executive Vice President of Power Generation Systems, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it expands its presence in the mission-critical power sector.
The Miami-based company, a subsidiary of TRIMAX Holdings, specializes in decommissioning, repackaging, and resale of stationary and modular backup power generation systems, widely used in data centers and other critical infrastructure environments.
Veteran Leader in Power Generation
Rutledge brings more than 17 years of experience in power generation and energy infrastructure, including leadership roles focused on diesel and gas turbine systems across commercial and industrial applications.
His background spans the full lifecycle of power generation assets, including acquisition, decommissioning, repackaging, integration, and deployment. Rutledge has also worked extensively with equipment produced by major global manufacturers such as General Electric, Cummins, Siemens, Caterpillar Inc., and Wärtsilä.
The company said his expertise in repurposing commercial power generators for AI data centers and mission-critical facilities will be particularly valuable as demand for reliable energy infrastructure grows.
Responsibilities in the New Role
As Executive Vice President of Power Generation Systems, Rutledge will oversee several core operational areas, including:
- Acquisition and sourcing of power generation assets
- Decommissioning and repackaging of equipment
- Integration and deployment for commercial clients
- Strategic growth of TRIMAX’s modular energy portfolio
Company leadership says his role will focus on driving capital-efficient growth and operational performance across TRIMAX’s power generation business.
David Hofer, CEO of TRIMAX Power Systems, said Rutledge’s experience leading complex asset lifecycle operations will help strengthen the company’s position as a partner to data centers, engineering firms, and energy-as-a-service providers.
Experience Across the Power and Equipment Sector
Before joining TRIMAX, Rutledge held leadership positions at several industrial equipment and rental companies, including:
- Stewart & Stevenson
- United Rentals
- EquipmentShare
These roles helped him develop expertise in generator deployment, HVAC rental systems, and national account management for large commercial clients.
Growing Demand for Mission-Critical Energy Systems
The appointment comes as demand rises for backup and modular power solutions, particularly in sectors such as data centers, AI infrastructure, and other mission-critical operations that require an uninterrupted electricity supply.
TRIMAX Power Systems focuses on delivering integration-ready backup power solutions to engineers, data center operators, and facilities managers seeking reliable and cost-effective energy systems.
With Rutledge joining the executive team, the company aims to strengthen its ability to deliver scalable power infrastructure for customers across North America and global markets.
