Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare, a leading national behavioral health treatment network, proudly announces that Dr. Daniel Bober, D.O., long-time Medical Director for Lifeskills South Florida, has been selected to join Odyssey’s leadership team as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Created to support the organization’s continued growth and expansion, this critical leadership position will advise the leadership team, serve as a medical spokesman, and be an internal resource for physician-to-physician consults across Odyssey.
Dr. Bober is a quintuple board-certified psychiatrist in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is certified in Obesity Medicine through the American Board of Obesity Medicine and, as a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine, is a Certified Addiction Medicine physician.
A licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Bober completed his general psychiatry residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, a fellowship at Yale Child Study Center, and another at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Bober has served as a mental health policy fellow in the U.S. Senate through the American Psychiatric Association and was the Medical Director of Pediatric Psychiatry at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
He is currently the Medical Director at Lifeskills South Florida, part of Odyssey Psychiatric Network, where he developed advanced therapeutic programming establishing it as a national center of clinical excellence. In addition to his position at Lifeskills and his own private practice, Dr. Bober serves the following distinguished roles:
- Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale Child Study Center/Yale University School of Medicine
- Medical Director of Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options (JAFCO)
- Chief of the Department of Psychiatry at Memorial Regional Healthcare System
