A licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Bober completed his general psychiatry residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, a fellowship at Yale Child Study Center, and another at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Bober has served as a mental health policy fellow in the U.S. Senate through the American Psychiatric Association and was the Medical Director of Pediatric Psychiatry at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

He is currently the Medical Director at Lifeskills South Florida, part of Odyssey Psychiatric Network, where he developed advanced therapeutic programming establishing it as a national center of clinical excellence. In addition to his position at Lifeskills and his own private practice, Dr. Bober serves the following distinguished roles:

  • Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale Child Study Center/Yale University School of Medicine
  • Medical Director of Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options (JAFCO)
  • Chief of the Department of Psychiatry at Memorial Regional Healthcare System

“Our facilities are known for their clinical excellence and for exceeding national clinical benchmarks. As Odyssey continues in its growth trajectory, the need for astute clinical oversight and leadership is essential,” said Richard Clark, CEO of Odyssey. “We are proud to have Dr. Bober, a leading authority in the mental health field and highly collaborative leader, partner with us in providing clinical guidance for our next stage of growth.”

As Odyssey’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Bober will advise executive leadership and serve on Odyssey’s Quality Council Committee.

“My own personal mission, which aligns perfectly with the mission of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare, is to destigmatize, advocate, and care for people with a mental illness or addiction,” notes Dr. Bober. “I’m excited to partner with Odyssey’s clinical and executive leadership in furthering their mission and ensuring every client that comes into care is provided with the highest quality of clinical care that enables them to take the next step in achieving life-long recovery.”
