Entrepreneurship is the process by which a person develops, plans, and successfully runs a company enterprise in spite of the many difficulties and uncertainties that are likely to be encountered. Not many people embark on this journey of unpredictability, whose outcome can also be speculated. But there are a few who venture out nevertheless and take the plunge to kickstart their own idea and give it wings to sustain it. One such personality is Filip Boksa, the founder of two successful ventures-King of Maids and BookingKoala, who started hustling since his college days when everyone else was just busy studying.

Boksa, who initially assisted his father in his carpeting business as a 16-year-old, felt that this was not what he wanted to be doing for the rest of his life. He soon started to chalk out some business ideas and came up with the King of Maids, a cleaning service that he launched with one of his friends. Both of them invested $6000 in the startup, which culminated in $5,000,000 worth of revenue in just three years. This phenomenal success encouraged Filip to launch yet another baby called BookingKoala, a total bootstrap initiative by the Polish entrepreneur. Boksa aims to make his initiative a unicorn without the support of any external investors.

Boksa’s journey is not as easy as it sounds. As we all know, starting anything of your own requires persistent effort and dedication, which Filip showcased at every step of his entrepreneurial journey. He sacrificed all his leisure time that involved travel and his personal relationships. Boksa even handled all the menial tasks and worked late into the night to experience the fruits of his hard work down the line. Never once in the process did he doubt himself, which eventually helped him transform his vision into reality.

Filip Boksa’s life story is an inspiration to all aspiring entrepreneurs who want to see their names on a pedestal but are afraid to start. Boksa advises young entrepreneurs to take the risk and make proper use of the available resources around them. He suggests they exercise marketing tactics with the support of social media to develop a strong client base. Filip also advises them to come up with new ideas every time since the market has become quite competitive, which calls for innovation and creativity.

“It just goes to show you that if you keep on working hard, doors will open themselves up for you. I never thought of building something like BookingKoala, but when the opportunity opened up, I went for it, “says Filip. “I still remember back to the first morning when I woke up to clients booking our services overnight. It was something special, and we figured out how to make money while we were asleep,” he continues.
