Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union will celebrating the Grand Opening of its Norwalk location with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday March 22nd. The event comes after months of planning and coordinating to accommodate the credit union’s fourth retail partnership with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Located at 500 West Street in Norwalk, Nutmeg’s new location offers both NSFCU and DMV Express services. Nutmeg State FCU continues to serve the state with convenient and accessible loan products, self-service banking technology and many other services to make moving your money easier. The combined DMV Express allows customers to complete license renewals, replacements, name and address changes, and more—all made easy through Nutmeg’s custom technology that has seen proven success at all of their DMV Express locations in Milford, North Haven, and Glastonbury.
Current COVID-19 regulations restrict DMV Express service visits to appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled at Bankingawesome.com. There are no restrictions at the branch for your banking service needs and everyone in the Norwalk community is welcome to sign up for a credit union membership. Nutmeg and the DMV expect an exciting opening week in Norwalk following all state and CDC guidelines and precautions.
“I am really excited about Nutmeg’s continued growth in partnership with the DMV to open up our fourth DMV express location and couldn’t be happier to serve another community in Connecticut. It is great to be able to serve even more people through our Norwalk branch as this is our first location in Fairfield County,” said Holt.
“Providing residents with convenient access to services has been the driving force behind the DMV’s modernization efforts,” said DMV Commissioner Sibongile Magubane. “We value our partnership with Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union and look forward to offering customers in Fairfield County convenient options for accessing driver’s license and non-driver ID services.”
“Our newest location is conveniently located right off the Merritt Parkway, offering easy access for customers living and working in Fairfield County,” said DMV Deputy Commissioner Tony Guerrera.
