Scilence, also known as Sidney Branch, is a rising star in the music industry, and her debut album, “The Red Cup Demo 2021,” is proof of her talent. However, her most popular song from the album is undoubtedly “Crush,” which has over 1 million views on YouTube and has helped Scilence gain over 100,000 subscribers on the platform. This success even led to Scilence receiving a YouTube Creators Award plaque.

The music video for “Crush” showcases Scilence’s unique style and flair, with the artist dressed in an alluring cupid costume and singing in a sweet and soothing tone. The song itself is a perfect blend of hip-hop and electronic 80s synth styles, which create Scilence’s signature pop sound. According to Scilence, she wanted to deviate from traditional mixing rules and make her adlibs louder than her main vocals, creating something fresh and unique.

The music video features Scilence sitting in a classic and beautiful 1994 Ferrari 348 Spider, reciting her lyrics with Judy, her blow-up doll, in the passenger seat. The blue fluorescent lighting creates an artistic background, adding to the video’s overall aesthetic appeal. The director, Yoshi Tabata, did an excellent job capturing Scilence’s comedic yet seductive performance, making the video a must-watch for any fan.

What sets Scilence apart from other artists is her ability to mix and engineer all of her music herself, which is a rare find in the industry. Her music production is largely inspired by 1980s synth-pop, which she blends seamlessly with hip-hop to create a soothing yet fiery sound. “Crush,” featuring Bizarre of D12, is a perfect example of Scilence’s exceptional talent as both an artist and an audio engineer.

Scilence attended Studio West Recording School for Audio Engineering in San Diego, California, which honed her skills as an audio engineer. Her ability to mix and engineer her music herself not only showcases her exceptional talent but also provides her with complete creative control over her work.

Scilence’s debut album, “The Red Cup Demo,” is a refreshing breath of originality, flair, and uniqueness and showcases her incredible talent as both an artist and audio engineer. With her unique sound and exceptional talent, it’s no wonder that Scilence is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about artists in the industry.
